Being happy for others

If there’s a great thing about being a teacher is that we get to be happy for other people’s accomplishments. Actually, the luckiest of us get to feel that quite often! How many members of other careers can claim that?

I am really happy today because one more of my students has reached his primary goal of achieving Level 4 on the ANAC test. And the point is: I’m happy because he did it, not I. I was just there to give him a push in the right direction at the right time, that’s all. The responsiblity is all his.

So let him bask on his triumph and glory! Congratulations on your great achievement! All that time and effort really paid off!

Now don’t forget to do your homewwork, for tomorrow is just another day… and 2014 is right around the corner!

A responsabilidade é toda dele.

    Hi Carolina,

You mention 2014 – do you know if the ICAO March 2011 deadline for language proficiency has been extended once again?

    • Hello, Lucia, not as far as I know. I was referring to the recurrent test this particular student will have to take in 2014, as he got a level 4 now (2011). Brazil adheres to ICAO’s recommendation which states that pilots who achieve level 4 should be tested again in 3 year’s time, and pilots who got a 5 should be tested every 6 years. Is this the way it works for you?
